Anna Stárková
Biography
Overview
Anna Stárková is an associate and a member of the Prague Competition and Regulatory team.
Anna's primary areas of focus revolve around providing legal advisory services with respect to transactions and compliance matters related to competition, technology, and intellectual property law. Her expertise extends to advising clients on merger filings with both EU and national supervisory authorities. She represents clients in investigations and administrative proceedings before both the national supervisory authorities, such as the Czech Office for Protection of Competition and Office for Personal Data Protection, and regional authorities, such as the European Commission.
Additionally, Anna gained enormous experience as a seconded lawyer at a major player in the global antivirus market, where she navigated the client through complex regulatory requirements; drafted e-commerce, privacy, information security, data governance and other compliance documentation; formulated made-to-measure internal processes; and assisted business teams with their successful implementation in addition to providing daily in-house advice.
Anna holds a master's degree from the Law Faculty of Charles University and an LLM degree from the prestigious Stanford Law School. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in information technology law at Masaryk University.
