Overview
Candice is a partner in the Firm's Project Development and Finance Group, a global team dedicated to providing business and strategic advice to clients regarding financing transactions, which enable the completion of major projects.
Candice advises on the project and acquisition financing of projects in the power (including renewables and energy transition), infrastructure and energy and resources sectors.
Candice has represented project developers, investors and lenders (including institutional investors, export credit agencies and multilateral development banks) in respect of large and complex projects located in Asia, Australia, Latin America and North America, often with multi-sourced financing arrangements.
Experience
Project financing of multiple solar projects
Advising the borrower on the project financing of various solar farms including the Winton Solar Farm, the Goonumbla Solar Farm, the Sebastopol Solar Farm, the Moree Solar Farm, the Lilyvale Solar Farm and the Batchelor Solar Farm.
Project financing of multiple onshore and offshore wind projects
Advising the borrower or senior lenders in respect of the project financing of various wind projects including the Golden Plains Wind Farm, the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm (Taiwan), the Changfang and Xidao Offshore Wind Farm (Taiwan), the Zhong Neng Offshore Wind Project (Taiwan) and the Crookwell 2 Wind Farm.
Portfolio financing of renewable energy platforms
Advising the borrower or senior lenders in respect of portfolio refinancings of renewable energy platforms including Atmos Renewables, Bright Energy and the lenders to Palisade Investment Partners.
Project financing of infrastructure assets (including PPPs)
Advising bidders, developers or lenders in respect of the acquisition and financing of infrastructure assets including Philippines Mobile Towers (Philippines), Vodafone Towers (NZ), Frankston Hospital, Western Roads Upgrade, Victorian Desalination Plant, East Link, Peninsula Link, North East Link, West Gate Tunnel and WestConnex.
Perdaman Urea Plant
Advising the borrower on the project financing of the greenfield Karratha Urea Project in Western Australia.
Project financing of FPSOs
Advising lenders in respect of the acquisition and financing of FPSOs, including the FPSO Anna Nery (Brazil) and OSX-2 (Brazil).
CELSE LNG-to-power project
Representing Goldman Sachs, IDB Invest and IFC in connection with the structuring of the financing for the design, construction, and operation of a 1,516 MW thermoelectric power plant and related LNG receiving and gas transportation infrastructure in the State of Sergipe, Brazil.
