Carl Hugo Parment
Biography
Overview
Carl Hugo Parment co-heads the Debt Finance practice in Stockholm and focuses on banking and finance law. He has extensive experience of advising both lenders and borrowers in domestic and international transactions, especially within leveraged finance and real estate finance. His experience also includes involvement in capital markets transactions, including bond restructurings.
Carl Hugo also has significant experience from working with insolvency law and distressed debt including both formal and informal insolvency proceedings, enforcement of security interests and workouts relating to private equity owned companies.
Furthermore, Carl Hugo has in-depth knowledge of mergers & acquisitions within the financial industry, especially regarding acquisitions of both public and private financial institutions and debt portfolios.
Before joining White & Case in 2011, Carl Hugo worked as Head of Legal at DNB (Sweden) for five years and before that, he worked as a senior associate at one of the leading Swedish law firms. Carl Hugo also has several years of board experience within the financial industry.

Representation of Nordic Capital on the underwriting and issuance of up to €450 million senior secured notes, its €50 million super senior revolving credit facility and the related intercreditor arrangements in connection with the acquisition of Foxway Group AB, a leading circular tech services provider in Europe.
Representation of H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB (publ), the Sweden-based global fashion and design company, on the update of its €2 billion EMTN programme.
Representation of Toyota Industries Finance International AB (publ), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO), on the update of its US$4 billion EMTN programme.
Representation of J.P. Representation of Qred AB (publ) a Swedish fintech company, partially owned by Nordic Capital, on its issuance of up to SEK 600 million senior secured bonds due 2025.
Representation of Pareto Securities as sole bookrunner on the issuance by Cabonline Group Holding AB (publ) of up to SEK 1.8 billion senior secured sustainability-linked floating rate bonds due 2026. The bonds were issued for the purpose of refinancing existing debt. The firm also assisted on the establishment of a super senior revolving credit facility and the related intercreditor arrangements. Cabonline is the leading taxi company in the Nordic region.

Representation of Danske Bank and Swedbank on the senior financing, and Capital Four on a holdco PIK financing, for the acquisition of FCG Group, a leading governance, risk and compliance services provider in Europe, by IK Partners.
Representation of FSN Capital, as sponsor for senior facilities provided on the acquisition of Active Brands AS, a fast growing house of premium sports apparel and equipment brands.
Representation of Nordea, Swedbank and Aktia Bank on the €141.5 million refinancing of the grocery-anchored real estate portfolio of Cibus Retail Finland 2 Oy and its subsidiaries (portfolio companies of Cibus Nordic Real Estate AB (publ)), consisting of approximately 45 real estate assets.
