Hugh Verrier, who served as White & Case Chair for 16 years before stepping down in August, received the Special Achievement Award at the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers North America 2023 awards ceremony. The award recognizes Hugh's role in making White & Case the truly global law firm it is today.
In his acceptance speech, Hugh talked about the Firm's pioneering past and how we continue to forge our own path as a global law firm today.
White & Case came fifth overall in the FT's index of the year's 35 most innovative law firms, having received commendations on five submissions in the following categories: Supreme Court; Access to justice and civil rights; Technology; Knowledge and data; and People and skills.
