Overview

Isabela is a senior associate in the Firm's Global Disputes Practice, advising clients throughout the project life cycle in relation to commercial and legal matters, including dispute avoidance and resolution before Australian courts and alternative dispute resolution forums.

Isabela advises clients on major infrastructure projects, in particular transportation (road and rail), public works, building and mining.

Advised client in relation to ACP cladding in building in NSW, including in relation to limitation of liability periods and replacement.

Assisted team advising a JV contractor on an UNCITRAL arbitration seated in Western Australia concerning disputes valued at AUS$500m arising out of the design and construction of one of the largest packages on a significant LNG development;*

Advised client on every-day contractual matters in connection with claims arising from contractor’s default, design defects, contract termination, variations, extensions of time, delay, disruption and prolongation claims, payment defaults and breach of contract in relation to water treatment plant in Queensland;*
