Laura Garr
Biography
Overview
Laura Garr is a member of the Firm's Commercial Litigation Practice Group with a focus on complex civil litigation. She has significant experience in cross border contract and business disputes. Laura has also represented major debtors and creditors in high-profile bankruptcies and adversary proceedings. In addition, Laura has a successful track record in complex estate-related litigation, including probate and accounting disputes.
Laura is very active with the firm’s Business and Human Rights Interest Group and pro bono matters, with a focus on business and human rights and advancing the 2030 Agenda. Laura has led pro bono projects for the Vance Center, UN Global Compact, UN Global Alliance on SDG16 Reporting and was part of the trial team with the Education Law Center. Laura has served as pro bono supervisor to human rights, corporate social responsibility, and immigration clinics for New York law schools.
