Biography

Overview

Shaohui focuses his practice on project development and finance, leveraged finance, merger and acquisition and private equity investments in a variety of business sectors, including energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and technology.

Shaohui has rich experience in complex transactions in the United States, Europe, Latin America China and Africa. In particular, he is well versed in cross border deals and has represented public companies, private businesses, state entities and not-for-profit organizations.

Prior to joining the firm, Shaohui was in private practice and corporate legal. While in private practice, he worked in a major law firm on Wall Street and then in a firm in the Appalachian region focusing on energy and cross-border transactions. African business was his primary area while in corporate.

All of these experiences have contributed significantly to both legal and business aspects of transactions, especially for greenfield projects in which numerous factors need to be considered for new investments. Shaohui is able to manage these transactions by working closely with clients, local counsel, project advisors, governmental agencies and business teams.
