White & Case advises bookrunners on US$600 million notes issuance by Mersin International Port

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised the joint bookrunners on a Reg S/Rule 144A issuance of US$600 million notes and a concurrent tender offer by Mersin Uluslararası Liman İşletmeciliği A.Ş. (Mersin International Port), Türkiye's largest container port.
"White & Case has advised the joint bookrunners on a milestone transaction that once again demonstrates our market leading international capital markets capabilities," said White & Case partner Melissa Butler, who co-led the Firm's deal team. "This transaction is the first time that a tender process was used in Türkiye."
The bonds are callable in 2028 and have an annual coupon of 8.25%. Citi, DBS Bank and HSBC acted as joint bookrunners.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction included partners Melissa Butler, Stuart Matty (both London) and Derin Altan (Istanbul), counsel James Clarke (London) and associates Ece Kuregibuyuk (London) and Sehriban Unlu (Istanbul).
