At its Women in Business Law Awards announced on December 10, IFLR honored global law firm White & Case LLP with two awards: "Best International Firm Mentoring Programme" and lawyer of the year for "Capital Markets—Equity," White & Case Partner Kaya Proudian (Singapore).
The awards "provide recognition for the achievements of leading women in the legal profession, as well as celebrate progressive initiatives for gender diversity, mentorship, minority women, talent management, and work-life balance," according to IFLR.
"Kaya's award is a testament to her continuous dedication to her practice and the Firm in the region," said White & Case partner Baldwin Cheng (Hong Kong), "and to her passion for supporting women in law and as a leader amongst her peers." Proudian is a partner in White & Case's Capital Markets Practice and serves as head of White & Case's Asia Capital Markets Practice. She has extensive experience in emerging markets, including advising on some of the largest securities offerings in Southeast Asia.
The White & Case Asia-Pacific mentoring program comprises two mentoring programs: one for lawyers, and one for business services. Each program is designed to support learning and development in line with White & Case's competency frameworks, values, Employee Value Proposition, and alumni commitments. A key aim of the program is to provide a structured one-to-one relationship that focuses on the needs of the mentee.
