William Moran
Biography
Overview
After five years at the White & Case Washington, DC office, Mr. Moran transferred to the Tokyo office in October 2004 and advises clients on international trade and regulatory matters.
Mr. Moran has advised clients in matters before various US government agencies and courts, including the US Department of Commerce, the US International Trade Commission, the US Department of Treasury, the US Department of Transportation, the US Food and Drug Administration and the US Court of International Trade.
He is a member of various professional associations, including the Daini Tokyo Bar Association, Bar Association of the District of Columbia, Virginia State Bar Association, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
Experience
Antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before the US International Trade Commission and the US Department of Commerce as well as related appellate litigation before US Federal Courts.
World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements, governing goods, services, investment and intellectual property, as well as related dispute resolution panel proceedings.
National security controls on investment in US entities administered by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and the Department of Defense.
US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance.
Compliance with data protection, privacy, document retention, and information security regulations.
