Diversity Lab has announced that global law firm White & Case LLP has achieved Mansfield certification after completing the Mansfield Rule 6.0 12-month certification program. The Firm has been Mansfield certified every year since the program's inception in 2018.
"Our annual Mansfield certification is one of the many ways we demonstrate our longstanding commitment to diversity. We firmly believe that diverse backgrounds and experiences play a crucial role in fostering pioneering thinking—a cornerstone of our Firm's success and one of our core values," said Binoy Dharia, partner and chair of the Firm's Global Diversity Initiative Committee. "Most recently, we elected Heather McDevitt, the Firm's first woman chair, and appointed our most diverse Executive Committee to date."
"Being certified under the rigorous Mansfield 6.0 criteria is a great achievement," said Vivian Tsoi, partner and chair of the Firm's Global Women's Initiative Committee. "It is only through the consistent pursuit of high standards and continuous improvement that we can build a Firm that is truly inclusive."
Looking at the period from July 2022 to July 2023, Mansfield Rule 6.0 reviews whether law firms considered at least 30 percent historically underrepresented lawyers (women, racially and ethnically diverse lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers and/or lawyers with disabilities) for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, Chambers USA submissions, senior lateral positions and C-level roles.
White & Case is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. It is our Firm's policy to recruit, employ, train, compensate and promote without regard to race, religion, creed, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, military or veteran status, disability, genetic information, or any other category protected by applicable law.
